This is a frequent question from people looking to start getting fit but are worried about the cost of equipment. The good news? You don’t need expensive equipment to get fit! You can start out using bodyweight and isometric exercises (which we can teach you how to do.) These don’t require any equipment at all. And before you invest in “stuff” that will sit around, you can try progressing from bodyweight to objects you have around the house like books, canned food, anything with some weight to it.
Once you’ve committed to a healthy lifestyle and are ready to take your fitness to the next level, you can make some relatively inexpensive purchases to add to your routine. Things like resistance bands, stability balls, yoga mats (for floor exercises), a kettlebell or two, some lightweight dumbbells, you are limited by your motivation and desire. And the best thing? You don’t have to do this alone! We can help you develop your initial program as well as progressions as you acquire equipment that you enjoy using. Not sure if you’d like a particular piece of equipment? Our training staff can help with trying some out during an in-person session!
